2. This Order applies to the United Kingdom and every Countries other country in which Defence Regulations are for the time Order being in force by virtue of subsection (1) of section four of applies. the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939.
3.-(1) This Order may be cited as the Defence Regula- Short title tions (Reciprocal Enforcement) Order, 1940.
(2) In this Order the expression "country" includes a territory, and the expression "ship or vessel" includes a ship or vessel under construction.

(3) The Interpretation Act, 1889, shall apply to the 52 & 53 Vict. interpretation of this Order as it applies to the interpretation c. 63. of an Act of Parliament.
