No. 111. It is hereby notified that the Honourable Mr. NORMAN LOCKHART SMITH, Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, resumed. duty as Colonial Secretary, with effect from this date.

No. 112. It is hereby notified that the Honourable Mr. ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH resumed duty as Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from this date.

No. 113.-The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Miss MAUREEN CAREW to be a Nursing Sister, with effect from 12th November, 1940, inclusive.

Miss MAUREEN CAREW arrived in the Colony on 10th January, 1941, and assumed duty on this date.

No. 114.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER HEATHCOTE LOCK to be a Member of the Volunteer Advisory Committee, with effect from 24th January, 1941.

No. 115.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to recognize, provisionally and pending instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Senor ALBERTO PEREZ-SAEZ as Consul-General for Peru at Hong Kong, as from 1st February, 1941.

No. 116. It is hereby notified that, as from the 28th January, 1941, and until further notice, Mr. IGNACIO G. LEYTON will be Acting Consul in charge of the Honduras Consulate.
