AND WHEREAS the duties on liquors would be altered and would become the duties appearing in such resolution if the same were to become law:
Now I, the Officer Administering the Government, under the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Public Revenue Protection Ordinance, 1927, as interpreted by section 39A (1) of the Interpretation Ordinance, 1911, do hereby make this Order giving full force and effect to the provisions of such resolution as from nine o'clock a.m. on Thursday, the sixteenth day of January, 1941, for so long as this Order remains in force.

DUTIES OF LIQUORS.
RESOLVED pursuant to section 4 of the Dutiable Com- modities Ordinance, 1931, as follows-
That the DUTIES ON LIQUORS set forth in the resolu- tion of the Legislative Council published as Government Notification No. 841 in the Gazette of 26th July, 1940, as amended by the resolution of the Legislative Council published as Government Notification No. 963 in the Gazette of 30th August, 1940, be revoked and that henceforth duty shall be payable on liquors at the following rates per gallon-
