ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).

His Excellency the Officer Administering the Govern- ment has been pleased, pursuant to Section 11 (7) of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939, to permit the following persons to quit the Hong Kong Defence Reserve :-

Heggie, William Houston, with effect from 30th Decem-

ber, 1940.

McGahan, Arthur John, with effect from 31st Decem-

ber, 1940.

It is hereby notified for general information that, under the powers conferred on him by paragraph (5) of regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations, 1940, as enacted by Govern- ment Notification 1230 of 8th November, 1940, the Controller of Food, with the consent of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, has delegated all his powers under that regulation relating to RICE to Mr. FREDERICK CHARLES BARRY but without prejudice to the exercise of the said or any other powers by the Controller of Food, as he may from time to time think fit.

It is hereby notified that the following persons have been re-assigned from the Combatant Group to the General Group for Essential Services in the Hong Kong Defence Reserve, under the provisions of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939
