Intended Alteration in Character of Shaweishan Light.
TEMPORARY LIGHTS TO BE ESTABLISHED.
NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 31st January 1913 the existing Shawei- shan Light will be discontinued, and that during the time that a new permanent Light is being installed provisional Lights (two) will be exhibited as follows:
On the northern side of and adjoining the existing tower a timber structure will be erected, from which will be exhibited a Dioptric, Revolving, Fourth Order Light, showing a single flash every 20 seconds, thus:-

This Light will be elevated 227 feet above the level of the sea, and should be visible in clear weather at a distance of about 21 miles, but will be obscured by the existing tower to vessels to the southward through an arc of about 40°.
