RESTORATION OF INTENSITY OF LIGHT OF SATAMISAKI.
NOTICE is hereby given that the candle power of the light of Satamisaki, on the small rock island, south point of province of Osumi, which was reduced during the repair of illuminating apparatus (see Notification No. 94 of Department of Communications, August 1912), has been shown as formerly.

GULF OF SIAM.
A SHOAL called the Beating China shoal carrying in its shallowest part only 13 fathoms of water at L.W.S. has been found to the North East of Loftus shoal, Patani, Gulf of Siam.
The general trend of the shoal is N.E. S.W. the greatest length in that direction carry- ing 3 fathoms and less is 34 cables. The bottom contains of sand.
The position of the shallowest part as plotted from angles taken in conjunction of Admiralty Chart No. 998 is as follows:-
