No. S. 382.-It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Mili- tary Authorities to the effect that at the forthcoming Field Operations on the 9th instant, Blank Gun Ammunition may be fired from the Guns defending the Eastern and Western approaches to the Harbour of Hongkong and from the Movable armament guns located on the adjacent hills. No service charges will be fired on this date. No risk of damage to passing vessels is to be apprehended.

No. S. 383.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of Castings", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 15th November, 1912, for the supply of Castings for the use of the Kowloon-Canton Railway (British Section) for the year 1913.
Form of Tender and further particulars may be obtained at the Locomotive Superin- tendent's Office, Hung Hom.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. S. 384.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked “Tender for the supply of Dry Earth", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 23rd day of November, 1912, for the supply of dry earth for sanitary purposes to Victoria Gaol for the space of one year from the 1st January next.
The earth to be procured from a spot to be pointed out by the Director of Public Works in the vicinity of the Pokfulam Road, and to be delivered at the Victoria Gaol at such times and in such quantities as may be required.

No. S. 385.-.It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked Tender for the purchase of Waste Food", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Saturday, the 23rd day of November, 1912, for the purchase of Waste Food from Victoria Gaol for the ensuing year, commencing from 1st January, 1913, to 31st December, 1913, inclusive.
This consists of the Kitchen Refuse and Waste of Rice, Congee, Vegetables, Fish, &c., averaging 200 b. daily.
