MAGISTRACY.

No. S. 368.-It is hereby notified that a meeting of the Licensing Board will be he ld at the Council Chamber at 2.15 p.m., on Wednesday, the 6th day of November, 191 2, for the purpose of considering the following application under the Liquors Consolidatio n Ordinance, 1911:-

From one KACKUZO UYETSUKI now applying for a Publican's Licence.

Applicant is now holding a Hotel Keeper's adjunct licence to sell by retail intoxicating liquors on premises No. 38A, Connaught Road Central, under the sign of "Tokyo Hotel".

No. S. 369.-With reference to Government Notifications Nos. S. 349, 351, 353, 354 and 356, dated the 18th October, 1912, it is hereby notified that the date for receipt of tenders is extended to Monday, the 18th November, 1912.

No. S. 370.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for building New Magistracy", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 18th November, 1912, for the pulling down of the existing Magistracy Buildings, &c., and for the erection of a new Magistracy together with Police Quarters in Arbuthnot Road, Victoria, Hongkong.

No works will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office. The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

KOWLOON-CANTON RAILWAY.

No. S. 371.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the Steelwork for the Extension of the Locomotive Running Shed at Hung Hom", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 8th November, 1912.

Specification and further particulars may be obtained from the Locomotive Superin- tendent at Hung Hom.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

North Tree Beacon Shifted.

NOTICE is hereby given that, owing to the washing away of the river bank, the North Tree Beacon was, on the 15th September, shifted to a position from which Langshan Pagoda bears S. 76° E., distant 2.5 miles.
