CANTON HARBOUR (WEST REACH).

Wongsha Rock Buoy Established.

NOTICE is hereby given that a 6-foot conical Buoy, painted black, has been placed to mark the north-eastern edge of the Wongsha l'ock. From the Buoy, Oliver Point bears S. 16° E., distant 3:07 cables. A green light is placed on the Buoy from sunset to sunrise.

All bearings given are magnetic.

NOTICE is hereby given that the hurricane which passed over Bedout Island-lat. 19:35 S., 1196 E.-on the 22nd inst, extinguished the unattended light established on this island in December, 1909.

Further notice will be issued as soon as the lamp has been re-lighted..

INDIA-WEST COAST-COCHIN.

INFORMATION has been received from the Port Officer, Cochin, that the Bar and Spit buoys at Cochin Harbour entrance and the Quarantine buoy in the inner harbour will be removed for the ensuing monsoon on 15th May, 1912, and that the bright fixed light at Mallipuram will be exhibited from the flagstaff from the 15th May to-30th September, 1912.
