No. S. 139.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender for City Slaughter House Extension", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 13th day of May, 1912, for the alterations and extension of the present Pig Killing Shed and an additional storey and extension of one of the Pig Lairage Sheds, Kennedy Town.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.

WITH reference to Government Notification No. S. 191 of 19th July, 1911, it is hereby notified that on and after 29th April, 1912, the Kap Sing Island Light-a double flash white light visible all round except where masked by Ma Wan Island-will be exhibited as follows:--
1 second light, 1 second obscured, 1 second light, 7 seconds obscured, visible 9
miles.
During fog and heavy rain a bell will be struck every 11 seconds.
The Skeleton Tower, cabin and dwellings as well as a patch on Rocks situated closed to the water under and South-east of the Tower will be painted white,

The two cones suspended on the mast of the old building of the Maritime Staff in case there is a probability of a typhoon entering the Japan Sea have been transferred to the mast of the new building of the Staff; during night those cones will be substituted by two green lights, suspended one above the other at a distance of 21⁄2 feet.
l'articulars as to direction and locality of minimum may be seen in the bulletin in the box near the entrance to the new building.
