(f.) The tenant may make reasonable alterations and additions to the buildings, but no alteration or addition shall be made until particulars and plan thereof have been submitted to and approved by the Building Authority. (g.) The premises to be used only for such purpose or purposes as may be approved in writing by the Government, but cinematograph or other displays of a similar nature will be allowed for a period of three months from the date of anction subject to compliance with the regulations made under the Theatres and Public Performances Regulation Ordinance 1908. Permis- sion for such display may be granted for a longer period but this cannot be guaranteed. (1.) No noisy or offensive trade or business shall be carried on on any part of the premises, and no noise of any sort calculated to disturb any Magistrate or other officer sitting in Court or Chambers in the adjacent Court House will be permitted whilst such Magistrate or officer is sitting.

(i.) The tenant to insure and keep insured the premises in the sum of $30,000 in the name of the Colonial Treasurer in an office to be approved by the Governor, the policy and current receipt for premium to be deposited in the Treasury.

(j.) In the event of the monthly rent being at any time in arrear for 14 days, or in the event of any breach of any of the provisions of the agreement, the Government may re-enter upon the premises and the letting shall there- upon be determined.

(k.) On the termination of the letting the premises to be handed over to the Government in a clean condition and in as good a state of repai: as they are in at present.

(7) In the event of the tenant desiring, and the Government consenting, to the continuation of the letting after the expiration of the stipulated term, the tenancy shall thereafter be a monthly tenancy subject to all the foregoing terms and conditions.

(m.) The Government retain a right-of-way across the area shewn coloured brown

on sale plan.

It is hereby notified that scaled tenders, which should be clearly marked "Tender: Service Reservoir, &c., Shankiwan", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 22nd April, 1912, for the construction of a Service Reservoir and two Filter Beds for the Shaukiwan Water Works.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned leading lights will be established in Toba-ko, Shima-gun, Shima province, and lighted on and after the 20th instant :-

TOBA HIGH LIGHT.

Position - Lat. 34° 29′ 5′′ N., Long. 136° 50′ 32′′ E. (According to the Japanese

Admiralty chart No. 87.)

Description :-Cylindrical iron tower painted white.
