No. S. 407.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Formation of Bed for Cross Harbour Water Mains", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 6th day of December, 1937. The work comprises the formation of a pell-mell rubble foundation. for two cross harbour water mains, also a protective rubble mound faced with one ton stones together with the manufacture and setting of R.C. Bearer Blocks and contingent works.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $5,000 with the Colonial Treasury.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE

DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

Firing practice will be carried out from D'Aguilar daily from 22nd to 26th November, 1937, both dates inclusive, commencing at 0930 hours each day.

Firing Area "B" will be affected.

Firing practice will be carried out from D'Aguilar on the night 23rd/24th Novem- ber, 1937, commencing at 1845 hours on 23rd November. Alternative night 24th/25th November, commencing at 1845 hours on 24th.

Firing Area "B" will be affected.

In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the Firing Area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the Firing Area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
