NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
Machine gun firing will be carried out from the western shore of Stonecutters Island, between the hours of 7 p.m. and midnight, on 13th September, 1937.
Firing Area "E" will be affected.
If, for any reason, machine gun firing cannot be carried out on this date, it will take place on the 14th September at the same time.
In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the Firing Area affected, or by consenting to be towed out of the Firing Area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

No. S. 263.—It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Shing Mun Catchwaters, 1st Section ", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 13th day of September, 1937. The work consists of the Construction of a Catchwater, draining the Southern Slopes of Tai Mo Shan near Pineapple Pass, and Contingent Works.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $10,000 with the Colonial Treasury.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
