No. S. 254. It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for repairs to S.L. 'S.D. 1'", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 3rd day of September, 1937.
A list of work may be obtained at the Assistant Government Marine Surveyor's Office, Government Slipway, Yaunati.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Government Marine Surveyor, and to be duly completed within the number of working days specified by the tender to commence from the date of handing over of the launch to tenderers for repair; failing completion within such time deduction will be made from the contract price, by way of liquidated damages for delay, at the rate of $30 for each and every subsequent day until and including the date of due completion of the work.

No. 8. 255.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Clearing materials from Streamcourses, Culverts and Nullahs brought down by Rainstorm", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 31st day of August, 1937. The tenders are to cover the work of removing material, brought down by Rainstorm, from Streamcourses, Culverts, Nullahs and the extensions of same within the Colony of Hong Kong.
As security for the proper performance of the work under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $200 with the Colonial Treasury.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
