NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE

DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

Firing practice will be carried out from Stonecutters West Battery on 7th July, between the hours of 9 a.m. and I p.m.

Firing Area "E" will be affected. This Area lies west of Stonecutters Island.

In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordí- nance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the Firing Area affected or by consenting to be towed out of the Firing Area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authori- ties.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 163.--It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Asphaltic Roofing Government House", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 5th day of July, 1937. The work consists of supplying and laying Asphaltic roofing to the Ball room.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $200 with the Colonial Treasury.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 164. It is hereby notified that scaled tenders in triplicate which should be clearly marked "Tender for major repairs to Nullahs at Kai Tak Airport", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 12th day of July, 1937. The work comprises the supplying of labour, materials and scaffolding, etc. for the carrying out of major repairs to the R.C. decking and masonry walls of three nullahs at Kai Tak Airport.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500 with the Colonial Treasury.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
