PRACTICAL EXAMINATION.

The candidate will be required:-

To perform such operations of the British Pharmacopoeia or such parts of them as may be practicable, involved in the processes for preparing collodions, confections, decoctions, dilute acids, extracts (liquid & solid) glycerines, infusions, juices, liniments, lotions, mix- tures, ointments, pill masses, plasters, powders (simple & compound) scale preparations, solutions, spirits, suppositories, syrups, tinctures, vinegars, waters and wines.

To compound and dispense medicines as prescribed; to write the directions in concise language and in NEAT AND DISTINCT hand- writing; to finish and properly direct each package. (In assessing the work in this subject the time taken by the candidate is taken into account.)

The candidate will be required to bring to the practical examina. tion his original laboratory notebooks for inspection should the ex- aminers so desire. These books must be taken away by the candidate at the close of the examination.

Forensic Pharmacy.

AN ORAL AND WRITTEN EXAMINATION,

The candidate must possess a thoroughly competent knowledge of the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance, 1937, the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, 1935, and the Regulations made under either Ordinance.

FEES.

The following fees shall be paid to the registrar:-

For enrolment as an apprentice or student For Part I of the examination whether or not the ap- plicant is examined in any or all of the subjects of the examination

For Part II of the examination. whether or not the ap-

plicant is examined in any or all of the subjects of the examination

Provided that an applicant who for good and sufficient reason has been unable to attend an examination arranged for him, may sit again on payment of half the appropriate fee.

2. For registration as a pharmacist...

$10.00 (s. 3 (1) (c)).

$25.00 (s. 3 (1) (c)).

$50.00

(s. 3 (1) (c)).

$10.00 (s. 3 (1) (6)).

3. For retention of every name on the register (annually)... $10.00 (s. 3 (1) (e)).

4. For every wholesale dealer's licence

For the issue of a further certificate of registration

6. For the registration of every set of premises where an

authorised seller of poisons carries on his business...... $10.00 (s. 14).

7. For retention on the register of every set of premises where an authorised seller of poisons carries on his business (annually)

$10.00 (s. 14).

For entry of every name on the registrar's list

$25.00 (s. 22(3)(a)).

9. For the making of every alteration in the registrar's list.

$10.00 (s. 22(3)(b)).

For retention of every name on the registrar's list (annually)
