HARBOUR DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 19.-Sealed tenders in quintuplicate which should be clearly marked "Tenders for the Supply of Mooring Buoys", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Friday, the 5th day of February, 1937.

Six 5' x 4' Launch Mooring Buoys of all welded construction and constructed entirely of "Dalzo" rust-resisting steel.

Delivery must be made at the Government Slipway, Yaumati, and the earliest delivery date is to be stated in the tenders submitted.

Plans and specifications may be obtained at the Offices of the Government Marine Surveyor, Harbour Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender and reserves to itself the option of accepting all, or any part of a tender.

No. 12.-Vacancies exist for two Special Chinese Apprentices at the Central Mechanical Works of the Kowloon-Canton Railway.

Applicants must be Hong Kong born and have obtained the school-leaving certi- ficate or higher qualifications.

Full particulars may be obtained on application in writing to the Manager and Chief Engineer, Kowloon-Canton Railway.

PUBLIC WORKs DepartmeNT.

No. S. 12.—It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Widening Road to Customs Pass", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Tuesday, the 26th day of January, 1937. The contract comprises the supply of all plant, materials and labour required for carrying out cutting and filling necessary to widen the Customs Pass Road between Sai Kung Road and Anderson Road to 20' together with all surfacing, cross drainage and other contingent works.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

The successful tenderer will be required to deposit the sum of $5,000 as security for the due and proper performance of the work.
