WHEREAS by the twenty-eighth section of the Phar- macy and Poisons Ordinance, 1937, it is provided that the said Ordinance shall come into operation upon such date as the Governor by Proclamation may appoint:

NOW I, Sir GEOFFRY ALEXANDER STAFFORD NORTHCOTE, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander- in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, do hereby PROCLAIM and APPOINT that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on the first day of January, 1938.
