6. The holder of a valid "D" licence is required to verify the correctness of assembly and functioning of such variable pitch airscrew controls as are incorporated in the engine whenever these controls are disturbed.

7. The syllabus in Air Ministry Pamphlet 34 relating to the examination of ground engineers has been amended in respect of Categories "C", "D" and "X", in order to afford guidance to applicants for extensions to existing licences, or for new licences.
