ORDINANCE No. 10 of 1899. (MERCHANT SHIPPING)

Lantau Area.

Cheung Chau Area.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 42 (1) (c) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, (as amended by section 20 of Ordinance No. 28 of 1935) the Governor in Council amends Table M in the Schedule to the said Ordin- ance (as enacted by Government Notification No. 509 in the Gazette of the 23rd July, 1937) as follows:-

Amendment.

The following regulations numbered as 29A and 29B are inserted after Regulation 29.

29A. A cable ground is established between Lantau Island and the Mainland. The cable reserve lies 140 yards either side of a line drawn 322° from the extreme North point of Lantau Island to the Mainland.

29B. A cable ground is established between Cheung Chau Island and Lantau Island. The cable reserve is 200 yards wide and lies in a 310° and 130° direction. The South West boundary passes through Adamastor Rock, in the channel between Cheung Chau Island and Lantau Island.

The North East boundary lies 200 yards North East of Adamastor Rock.

No. 787.-His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinance :-

Ordinance No. 10 of 1937.—An Ordinance to authorize the Appropriation of a Supplementary Sum of Seven hundred and eighty two thousand three hundred and ten Dollars and eight Cents to defray the Charges of the year 1936.
