APPOINTMENTS, &c.
No. 766.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to appoint Mr. ROBERT PHILIP SHAW, A.R.I.B.A., Chartered and Registered Architect, to be Execu- tive Engineer, with effect from the 13th March, 1937.

No. 767.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under section 4 of the Midwives Ordinance, 1910, Ordinance No. 22 of 1910, to appoint Dr. ANNIE SYDENHAM to be a Member of the Midwives Board for a term of three years, vice Dr. FRANK RICHARD ASHTON, resigned, with effect from the 14th October, 1937.

No. 768.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under Regulation No. 1 made by the Governor in Council under section 4 of the Nurses Registration Ordinance, 1931, Ördinance No. 1 of 1931, to appoint Miss MAUD WARD to be a Member of the Nurses Board for a further term of three years, with effect from 16th October, 1937.

No. 769.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under Regulation No. 1 made by the Governor in Council under section 4 of the Nurses Registration Ordinance, 1931, Ordinance No. 1 of 1931, to appoint Dr. Li SHUE-PUI() to be a Member of the Nurses Board for a period of three years, with effect from 16th October, 1937.

No. 770.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to approve the following promotions in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 22nd October, 1937 :-
Lieutenant CAMERON DE SAILLE-ROBERTSON, M.M., to be Captain. Lieutenant VICTOR CECIL BRANSON, M.C., to be Captain.
