The rainfall for the month of May at Victoria Peak was 15ins. 41 on 19 days, at Mount Kellett, it was 12ins. 01 on 14 days, at Botanical Gardens, 12ins. 44 on 13 days, at Taipo, 15ins. 12 on 20 days, and at Fanling, 8ins. 24 on 13 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 639 at 16h. 38m. on the 13th. The maximum squall velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 47 miles per hour at 12h. 17m. on the 19th.
