No. 405.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased, under sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordin- ance, 1934, Ordinance No. 21 of 1934, to appoint the following as a Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths, with effect from 11th of June, 1937, and during his tenure of office as Deputy Director of Medical Services :

No. 406. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to appoint Mr. PERCIVAL DOUGLAS WILSON, M. Inst. C.E., Chartered Civil Engineer, to be an Assistant Director of Public Works, with effect from the 13th March, 1937.

No. 407.- His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been. pleased to appoint Colonel GEOFFREY CATHCART GOWLLAND to be a Member of the Authorized Architects Consulting Committee, vice Colonel EDWARDS ST. GEORGE KIRKE, D.S.O., resigned.

No. 408.-His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. HERBERT THOMAS JOHNSON, M.C., F.S.I., to be a Member of the. Authorized Architects Consulting Committee.

No. 409.-It is hereby notified that Herr HERMANN GIPPERICH, Consul-General for Germany at Hong Kong resumed charge of the Consulate-General for Germany on 5th June, 1937.
