ORDINANCE No. 30 of 1933. (NAVAL VOLUNTEER).

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Ordinance, 1933, the Governor further amends the Regulations of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force made under the said Ordinance and published as Government Notification No. 822 in the Gazette of the 22nd December, 1933, as follows:-

Amendments.

1. The following paragraphs are added after paragraph (3) of regulation 2:—

(4) The Commodore shall be assisted also by a Com- mittee, termed the H.K.N.V. Advisory Committee, of which he shall be, ex officio, the President. The other members of this Advisory Committee shall consist of the members of the H.K.N.V. Committee and such other persons (not being active officers of the R.N. or the H.K.N.V.) as the Governor may see fit to appoint.

(5) The H.K.N.V. Advisory Committee shall be respon- sible to the Governor for making and forwarding to him recommendations on all matters relating to recruiting and to the general policy of the Force.

2. In regulation 3 after the word "Committee" at the end of the first line thereof add "and of the H.K.N.V. Advisory Committee”.

With reference to Government Notification No. 427 of the 31st May, 1935, it is hereby notified for general informa- tion that the operation of the provisional Commercial Agreement between His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom and the Egyptian Government, instituting most- favoured-nation treatment reciprocally between Egypt and Hong Kong, has been prolonged, by a further exchange of notes, until the 16th February, 1938.
