1. The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
Administering the Government occupied the Chair.
2. His Honour the Chief Justice Sir ALASDAIR Duncan Atholl MacGregor, Kt., the Honourable Mr. ROBERT HORMus Kotewall, C.M.G., LL.D., and His Honour the Puisne Judge Mr. ROGER EDWARD LINDSELL were present at the invita- tion of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government.

3. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 14th April, 1937, were confirmed.

4. The Honourable the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, (Mr. ROBERT ANDREW DERMOD FORREST, Acting), made affirmation and assumed his seat as a Member of the Council.
MOTIONS.
5. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government addressed the Council
and moved the following Resolution :
That a telegram in the following terms, conveying the loyal and respectful congratulations of the people of the Colony, be sent to the Secretary of State for the Colonies for submission to His Majesty the KING :-
