No. 236. His Majesty the KING has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance with respect to the following Ordinances :-

Ordinance No. 51 of 1936.—An Ordinance to provide for a revised edition of the Ordinances, and for a revised edition of the Regulations of the Colony.

Ordinance No. 54 of 1936. — An Ordinance to amend the Quarantine and Pre-

vention of Disease Ordinance, 1936.

Ordinance No. 57 of 1936.--An Ordinance to amend further the Currency

Ordinance, 1935.

Ordinance No. 58 of 1936.-An Ordinance to amend further the Buildings

Ordinance, 1935.

Ordinance No. 1 of 1937.-An Ordinance to amend the Telecommunication

Ordinance, 1936.

Ordinance No. 2 of 1937.-An Ordinance to make provision for a temporary percentage levy on the salaries of public officers in the Hong Kong Government Service and to provide for the exchange rate at which sterling salaries, when paid in the Colony, are to be converted.

APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 237.-It is hereby notified that His Excelleney the Governor, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to make the following appointment:-

Miss CICELY CONSTANCE DENLY to be a Nursing Sister, with effect from the 31st

March, 1937.

6th April, 1937.

No. 238.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies to appoint Mr. CHARLES MYCOCK, to be a Senior Master in the Education Department, Hong Kong, with effect from 6th March, 1937.

7th April, 1937.

No. 239.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mrs. Ts'o SEEN-WAN and Mrs. Lo MAN-KAM as persons to whom all buildings and premises of the Po Leung Kuk shall be open, at all reasonable times, to inspection under section 18 of the Po Leung Kuk Incorporation Ordinance, 1893 (Ordinance No. 6 of 1893).
