No. 170.-His Excellency the Governor has approved the relinquishment of his commission as Lieutenant in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps by Lieutenant NELSON VICTOR HALWARD, M.C., M.A., with effect from 17th February, 1937.

No. 171.-The King's Exequatur empowering Monsieur INAYETUI LAH CEMAL OZKAYA to act as Consul-General of Turkey in London with jurisdiction in the Colonies, Protectorates and Mandated Territories the Mandate for which is exercised by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom has received His Majesty's signature.

In accordance with regulation 4 of the Regulations as to the grant, forfeiture, restoration and other matters concerning the Colonial Police and Fire Brigades Long Service Medal published as Notification No. 37 in the Gazette of 10th January, 1936, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to authorize the following awards with effect from the 4th March, 1937-

Colonial Police Long Service Medal. Chief Detective Inspector WILLIAM SHANNON.
