No. 1020.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. THOMAS MEGARRY to be Deputy Clerk of Councils, with effect from 28th December, 1936.

No. 1021.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. STEPHEN FRANCIS BALFOUR to be an Assistant to the Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from 28th December, 1936.

No. 1022.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following promotion in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 6th December, 1936:-
Second Lieutenant H. A. DE B. BOTELHO to be Lieutenant.

No. 1023.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JoHN PELLY MURPHY to act as Assistant Land Officer and Deputy Registrar of Marriages, with effect from 28th December, 1936.

No. 1024.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. Jonn PELLY MURPHY to be an Official Justice of the Peace for the Colony of Hong Kong.

No. 1025.- His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Sub- Inspector ALBERT LESLIE HOPKINS to be an Examiner of Weights and Measures under the Weights and Measures Ordinance, 1885, section 4, and also an Inspector under the Gunpowder and Fireworks Ordinance, 1901, section 14, with effect from the 1st January, 1937.
