APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 985.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under section 9 (3) of the Liquors Ordinance, 1931, and section 25 (4) of the Interpretation Ordinance, 1931, to appoint the Honourable the Colonial Secretary to be Chairman of the Licensing Board for a period of three years, with effect from 26th November, 1936.

No. 986. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER MORRIS THOMSON to be Assistant Superintendent of Imports and Exports, with effect from 14th December, 1936.

No. 987.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM JAMES CARRIE to be Senior Assistant Treasurer and Assistant Collector of Stamp Duty, with effect from 15th December, 1936.

No. 988. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN SUTHERLAND MACLAREN to be Deputy Estate Duty Commissioner and Assistant Treasurer, with effect from 16th December, 1936.

No. 989. It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor, under instruc- tions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to make the following appointment:-

Miss OLIVE SUSANNA JEFFERY to be a Nursing Sister, with effect from the 26th

No. 990.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to recognise provi- sionally and pending instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, Mr. ROGELIO ROBLES as Consul-General for Panama at Hong Kong.
