An Ordinance

7. Stamp Duties Management Amendment Bill.-The Attorney General addressed

the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled to amend the Stamp Duties Management Ordinance, 1911." The Colonial Secretary seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a first time.

8. Appropriation Bill for 1937.-The Colonial Secretary moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Twenty- five million five hundred and eight thousand two hundred and sixty-nine Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1937."

The Colonial Treasurer seconded.

The Hon. Mr. JOHN JOHNSTONE PATERSON, Hon. Mr. José PEDRO BRAGA, O.B.E., Hon. Mr. Ts'o SEEN-WAN, C.B.E., LL.D., Hon. Mr. Lo MAN-KAM, Hon. Mr. STANLEY HUDSON DODWELL, Hon. Mr. MARCUS THEODORE JOHNSON, Hon. Mr. ARTHUR WILLIAM HUGHES, the Colonial Secretary and His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council.

On Council resuming, the Colonial Secretary reported that the Bill had passed through Committee without amendment, and moved that it be read a third time.

The Colonial Treasurer seconded.

Question-put and agreed to.

Bill read a third time and passed.

9. The Council then adjourned sine die.
