Ordinance No. 33 of 1936.—An Ordinance to amend the law relating to the instruments which may be used in flogging or whipping.

No. 915.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor, under instruc- tions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to make the following appointment :-

Mr. LANCELOT ALBAN SEARLE to be a Police Probationer, with effect from the

11th November, 1936.

No. 916.-It is hereby notified that during the absence from the Colony of Mr. CHARLES L. HOOVER, Consul-General for the United States at Hong Kong, Mr. HOWARD DONOVAN, Consul, will be in charge of the American Consulate-General.
