No. 831-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CECIL GRAHAM PERDUE to act as Inspector General of Police and Chief Officer, Fire Brigade, during the absence on leave of the Honourable Mг. THOMAS HENRY KING or until further notice, with effect from the 12th October, 1936.

No. 832.-His Excellency the Governor, under instructions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to recognise Mr. FREDERIC CHARLES FORNES, Junior, provisionally and pending the issue of His Majesty's Exequatur, as Consul of the United States of America at Hong Kong.

No. 833.-Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. DAVID MERCER MACDOUGALL to be Principal Assistant Colonial Secretary and Clerk of Councils, with effect from this date.

No. 834.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JOHN HENRY BURKILL LEE to be Deputy Clerk of Councils, with effect from this date.
