No. 803.-With reference to Government Notification No. 469 in the Gazette of the 22nd May, 1936. it is hereby notified that the accession of the Republic of Panama to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1929, was formally notified on the 13th July, 1936, and will take effect, in accordance with Article 64 of the Conven- tion, on the 13th October, 1936.

No. 804.-I hereby give notice that the figure representing the average opening selling rate for the month of September, 1936, of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation for demand drafts on London is settled at 14.78.

No. 805.-It is hereby notified for the information of Owners and Occupiers of tenements that, under the provisions of the Rating Ordinance No. 6 of 1901, Rates for the Fourth Quarter, 1936, are payable in advance on or before the 31st October, 1936.
If any person shall fail to pay such Rates on or before the 30th November, 1936, proceedings will be taken in the Supreme Court for their recovery without further notice.
No refund of Rates in respect of vacant tenements will be granted unless such Rates have been paid during and within the month of October, 1936, ror unless application is made for such refund within fifteen days from the expiration of the Quarter.
In order to ensure correct service in future, Owners and Occupiers of tenements are requested kindly to fili in particulars of their permanent addresses on the space provided for this purpose on the reverse side of the Notices for the Fourth Quarter, 1936.

No. 806.-It is hereby notified that at the expiration of three months from the date hereof the name of The MEE SING CINEMA FILM PRODUCING AND PRINTING COMPANY, LIMITED, will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the register and the company will be dissolved.
