The rainfall for the month of July at the Botanical Gardens was 10ins. 85 on 20 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 9ins. 02 on 20 days, at Fanling, 13ins 73 on 19 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 10ins. 21 on 17 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 506 at 17h. 45m. on the 31st The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph was at the rate of 51 miles per hour at 18h. 50m. on the 18th.
