No. 678.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the grant of a Commission to Mr. THOMAS RIDDLE PARSONS as Lieutenant in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from the 1st August, 1936.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. EDGAR DAVIDSON, provisionally, and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council, in the place of the Honourable Mr. STANLEY HUDSON DODWELL, who is temporarily absent from the Colony, with effect from the 8th August, 1936.
