The rainfall for the month of May at the Botanical Gardens was 11ins. 02 on 16 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 9ins. 43 on 13 days, at Fanling, 10ins. 75 on 14 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 11ins. 82 on 15 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 681 at 16h. 22m. on the 18th. The maximum squall velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 44 miles per hour at 14b. 20m. on the 14th.
