An officer who has been granted a uniform allowance under sub-paragraph (d) will not be eligible for a further allowance under sub-paragraph (e) and an officer who has been granted an allowance under sub-paragraph (e) will not be eligible for any further allowance under that sub-paragraph on any further promotion.
An officer who, prior to the publication of this amend- ment, has received any uniform allowance, will not on becoming Senior Lieutenant of the Force or on promotion to higher rank than Lieutenant be eligible for any allowance over and above the amount by which the aggregate of the allowances for which he would have been eligible under this paragraph exceeds the amount of the allowance already received by him.
(ii) An Officer who withdraws or is discharged from the force before the completion of three years will be required to refund the amount paid to him to the extent of one quarter of the allowance in respect of each year or portion of a year by which his service falls short of three years but in exceptional circumstances not attributable to the officer's misconduct or imprudence the refund may be waived in whole or in part at the discretion of the Commodore.
(iii) An officer who has completed three years service as an officer on List I of the Establishment of the Force prescribed in Table Al in regulation 4 and who continues to serve as such an officer will be eligible for a uniform allowance of $50 for each complete year of service thereafter.
