No. 482.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following promotions in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 23rd May, 1936--
Lieutenant JOHN HUBERT BOTTOMLEY to be Captain.
Lieutenant ALEXANDER ROBERTSON SELBY, M.B., Ch.B., to be Captain.

No. 483.-His Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to nominate and appoint the Honourable Mr. JOHN JOHNSTON PATERSON to be a member of the Housing Commission in the place of Sir WILLIAM EDWARD LEONARD SHENTON, Kt.

No. 484. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WALTER MORRIS THOMSON to act as Superintendent of Imports and Exports, during the absence of Mr. ERIC WILLIAM HAMILTON, with effect from the 20th May, 1936, until further notice.
