Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 3 of the Post Office Ordinance, 1926, Ordinance No. 7 of 1926, on the 22nd April, 1936.
The regulations made by the Governor in Council under the Post Office Ordinance of 1926 and set forth in Government Notification No. 118 in the Gazette of the 26th February, 1932, are hereby amended as follows with effect as from 1st June, 1936.
Amendment.
Delete Regulation Numbers 1 and 2 and substitute
1. The following rates of postage shall be charged on letters (other than postcards) addressed to the following destinations:-
Destination.
Places in the Colony
United Kingdom and British
possessions and protectorates via Suez and the Pacific...
via Siberia
China
Macao
Foreign countries generally
Rate of Postage.
4 cents for each ounce or part
of an ounce.
15 cents for the first ounce and 10 cents for each additional ounce or part of an ounce.
25 cents for the first ounce and 15 cents for each additional ounce or part of an ounce.
5 cents for each ounce or part
of an ounce.
25 cents for the first ounce and 15 cents for each additional ounce or part of an ounce.
2. The following rates of postage shall be charged on postcards addressed to the following destinations:--

Places in the Colony
United Kingdom and British
possessions and protectorates via Suez and the Pacific ...
via Siberia
China
Rate of Postage.
2 cents.
10 cents.
15 cents.
2 cents.
Macao
Foreign countries generally
15 cents.
Government Notification No. 475 published in the Gazette of 22nd June, 1934, is hereby cancelled.
