WHEREAS by section six of the Merchant Shipping (Inter- national Labour Conventions) Act, 1925, (hereinafter referred to as "the Act') it is enacted among other things that His Majesty may by Order in Council direct that the provisions of the Act shall, subject to such modifications and adaptations, to be specified in the Order, as appear to His Majesty necessary or expedient in the circumstances of the case, apply to ships registered in any British possession outside the United Kingdom, other than the Dominions mentioned in the Second Schedule to the Act, as they apply to ships registered in the United Kingdom :
