No. 228.-His Excellency the Governor in Council has been pleased to nominate and appoint Mr. ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH to be a member of the Housing Com- mission in the place of Mr. NORMAN LOCKHART SMITH, and to be Chairman of the Com-
missioners.

No. 229.-His Excellency the Governor has approved the relinquishment of his Local Commission as Lieutenant in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps by Lieutenant GEORGE DUNCAN, M.B.E., with effect from 14th February, 1936, on his per- manent transfer from the Colony.

No. 230.-His Majesty the KING has been pleased to approve the appointment of the Honourable Mr. CHAU TSUN-NIN to be an Unofficial Member of the Legislative Council for a further period of four years, with effect from the 2nd December, 1935.

No. 231.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ARTHUR GEORGE WARNIIAM TICKLE, F.R.I.B.A., F.S.I., to act as Director of Public Works during the absence on leave of the Hon. Mr. RICHARD MCNEIL HENDERSON, M. Inst. C.E., M.Ï. Mech. E., with effect from 7th March, 1936.
