No. 171.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor, under instruc- tions received from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, has been pleased to make the following appointment :-

Miss KATHLEEN TRICKETT to be a Nursing Sister, with effect from 6th February,

1936.

No. 172. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint, under the provisions of section 10 of the Medical Registration Ordinance, 1935, Ordinance No. 41 of 1935, Dr. Li SHU-FAN, to be a member of the Medical Board for a further term of three years, with effect from 11th February, 1936.

No. 173.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. WILLIAM JAMES LOCKIIART-SMITH to act as Land Officer in addition to his other duties, during the absence of Mr. THOMAS STODART WHYTE-SMITH or until further notice, with effect from to-day.

No. 174. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH to act as Secretary for Chinese Affairs, with effect from the 22nd February, 1936.

No. 175. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under- mentioned to be Analysts for the purposes of the Adulterated Food and Drugs Ordinance (Ordinance No. 8 of 1935).

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance, 1934, to appoint the person for the time being executing the duties of Medical Officer in charge of Kowloon and New Territories, to be a Deputy Registrar of Births and Deaths.
