APPOINTMENTS, &c.
No. 87. - Ilis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Dr. RHYS CARADOC JONES to be an Official Justice of the Peace for the Colony of Hong Kong.

No. 88. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Mr. GEORGE STAINBURN WILBY to be an Assistant Master, with effect from 4th January, 1936.

No. 89.-His Excellency the Governor has approved the relinquishment of his Local Commission as Lieutenant in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps by Lieutenant CHARLES LEONARD TATHAM, with effect from 16th December, 1935, on his permanent transfer from the Colony.

No. 90.-It is hereby notified that Monsieur G. A. LEURQUIN, Consul for France at Hong Kong assumed charge of the French Consulate, on 17th January, 1936.

The following telegram dated 22nd January, 1936, has been received by His Excellency the Governor from the Secretary of State for the Colonies and is published for general information:--
His Majesty has commanded that the Court shall wear mourning until July 21st and half mourning from July 21st until October 21st, and has expressed the desire that the public will wear suitable mourning until after His late Majesty's funeral which will take place on Tuesday, January 28th.
