ORDINANCE No. 40 of 1912.

TRAFFIC REGULATION).

(VEHICLES AND

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Vehicles and Traffic Regulation Ordinance, 1912,

1912, the Governor in Council amends the Vehicles and Traffic Regula- tions made under the said Ordinance and published as Government Notification No. 549 in the Gazette of the 19th July, 1935, as follows:-

Amendments.

1. Part II of Schedule B to the said regulations, entitled Stands for public motor cars other than taxicabs ", rescinded.

2. The words

Except as appears in Part II of Schedule B" in the note to item 5 under the sub-heading "Central District in Schedule A to the said regulations are

deleted.

3. Paragraph (5) of regulation 46 (under the heading Drivers and Conductors of public vehicles ") is rescinded and the following paragraph is substituted therefor :-

(5) when disengaged-

(a) if the vehicle is a taxicab, ricksha or chair, take the vehicle forthwith to the appropriate public stand,

(b) if the vehicle is other than a taxicab, ricksha or chair, take the vehicle forthwith to a place of accommodation therefor of which the Inspector General of Police shall have approved.
