1. The Council met pursuant to adjournment. His Excellency the Officer

Administering the Government occupied the Chair.

2. His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government moved the following

resolution:

The Members of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong have learned with profound sorrow of the death of Her Royal Highness The Princess Victoria and desire to present their humble duty to His Majesty and to express their loyal and respectful sympathy with Their Majesties the KING and QUEEN and the Royal Family in Their bereavement.

The Hon. Sir HENRY E, POLLOCK, Kt., K.C., seconded,

The Hon. Mr. Ts'o SEEN-WAN, C.B.E., LL.D., as Senior Chinese Member supported

the motion on behalf of the Chinese Community of the Colony.

The motion was carried, members standing in silence.
