The following Royal Warrant dated the 23rd March, 1934, relating to the Colonial Police and Fire Brigades Long Service Medal, is published for general information.

ROYAL WARRANT.
THE COLONIAL POLICE AND FIRE BRIGADES
LONG SERVICE MEDAL.

GEORGE THE FIFTH, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, Ireland and the British Dominions beyond the Seas, King, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India, to all to whom these presents shall come : Greeting!
WHEREAS We have taken into Our Royal consideration the long and good services rendered by subordinate members of the Police Forces and Fire Brigades in Our Colonies and in Territories under Our Protection :
AND WHEREAS We are desirous of distinguishing such long and good services by some mark of Our Royal favour:
We do by these presents for Us, Our heirs and successors, institute and create a new Medal to be awarded in recognition of such services.
2. The Medal shall be designated and styled Colonial Police and Fire Brigades Long Service Medal ".

The Colonial Police and Fire Brigades Long Service Medal shall consist of a circular medal of silver with Our Effigy on the obverse, and on the reverse an emblematic design, with the words For Long Service and Good Conduct' and the circumscription "Colonial Police Forces" or Colonial Fire Brigades

4. The name and rank of the recipient of the Medal and the Force in which he completed the requisite period of qualifying service shall be inscribed on the rim of the Medal.
5. The Medal shall be worn on the left breast suspended from a ribbon one inch and three-eighths in width, of which the central part (one half of an inch in width) shall be green, with two borders, each three-eighths of an inch in width, dark blue, and two silver stripes, each one-sixteenth of an
