The rainfall for the month of September at the Botanical Gardens was gins. 69 on 16 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was 9ins. 26 on 15 days, at Fanling, 5ins. 57 on 13 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, 7ins. 92 on 12 days.

The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 607 at 16h. 38m. on the 16th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 57 miles per hour at 9h. 48m. on the 17th.
