The rainfall for the month of January at the Botanical Gardens was lin. 37 on 6 days, at the Matilda Hospital, Mount Kellett, it was lin. 26 on 10 days, at Fanling, lin. 49 on 5 days, and at the Police Station, Taipo, lin. 83 on 9 days.
The lowest reading of the barometer (M.S.L.) was 29ins. 903 at 16h. 00m. on the 14th. The maximum gust velocity as recorded by the Dines-Baxendell anemograph, was at the rate of 48 miles per hour at 9b. 30m. on the 31st.
