The following Order of His Majesty in Council is published for general information.

WHEREAS a Convention for the unification of certain rules relating to international carriage by air was,

on the 12th day of October, 1929, signed at Warsaw on behalf of His Majesty:

AND WHEREAS provision is made by the Carriage by Air Act, 1932, (22 and 23 Geo. V. C. 36), for giving effect to the said Convention :

AND WHEREAS by Section 3 of the said Act it is provided that His Majesty may by Order in Council direct that the provisions of sections 1 and 2 of the said Act shall extend, subject however to such exceptions, adaptations and modifica- tions, if any, as may be specified in the Order, to any Colony and any territory which is under His Majesty's protection or in respect of which a mandate from the League of Nations is being exercised by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient to extend the provisions of Sections 1 and 2 of the said Act subject to certain adaptations and modifications to certain Colonies and to certain territories which are under His Majesty's protection or in respect of which a mandate from the League of Nations is being exercised by His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom:

Now, THEREFORE, His Majesty by virtue of and in exercise of the powers in this behalf by the Carriage by Air Act, 1932, or otherwise in His Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of His Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:---

1. In this Order and the schedules hereto, unless the context otherwise requires :-

"Colony" means any one of the colonies or other territories mentioned in the second schedule hereto;
