9. Appropriation Bill for 1935. The Colonial Secretary moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Twenty- six million three hundred and twenty-four thousand two hundred and nineteen Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1935."

The appropriation under Public Works Extraordinary was increased by $80,000 from $2,999,450 to $3,079,450 and the words "Twenty-six million. four hundred and four thousand two hundred and nineteen Dollars were substituted for the words "Twenty-six million three hundred and twenty-four thousand two hundred and nineteen Dollars" throughout the Bill.
On Council resuming, the Colonial Secretary reported that the Bill had passed through Committee with immaterial amendments and moved that it be read a third time.

10. Government House and City Development Scheme Bill.-The Attorney General moved the Second reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to make pro- vision for financing and carrying out a scheme for a new Government House and for the development of a portion of the City of Victoria."
